The search for Jake Ziegler, 18, and Ray Pierce, 17, of Catawba County, North Carolina continued this weekend.

After a party in the early morning hours of October 13, the boys told friends they were headed to Myrtle Beach. Their last contact with anyone was a text message at about 2:45 a.m. that day, near Rock Hill.

They were last seen at Jesse's Race Shop in Sherrills Ford, North Carolina in Jake's green 2006 Pontiac G6 with the North Carolina license plate BDD 8844.

For several days the family, joined by volunteers, searched parts of Horry County for the teens.

Jackie Ziegler, Jake's sister, says they are now searching an area near the Blythewood exit off Interstate 77 and moving south. They are conducting ground searches, and some are on four wheelers.

The CUE Center for Missing Persons and a private investigator are aiding police with the search.

There have been possible sightings in Horry County, but the two have not been found.

If you've seen the teens or the car, you're asked to call Jackie Ziegler at (704) 929-6296.
