Florida man killed after crash on I-95 in Florence County

At least one person is dead in a wreck on I-95 in Florence County. (WPDE)

A 69-year-old Florida man died on Sunday after a crash on I-95 in Florence County, according to Florence County Coroner Keith von Lutcken.

The wreck happened on I-95 at the 170 northbound mile marker around 3:30 p.m. on Sunday when a Penske truck ran off the right side of the road and hit an interstate sign.

The driver, Harold Glatt, of Leesburg, Fla., was wearing a seatbelt, but was killed. The passenger was also hurt and taken to the hospital.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is still investigating.
