School board postpones approval for new project designs

The Horry County School Board was supposed to approve the designs for future schools in our area at Monday night's meeting, but they postponed the vote.

The board had on its agenda that it would approve the conceptual designs of the elementary addition and three new middle schools in the county.

School board chairman Joe Defeo said the board needs more time to go over the decisions.

He says board members received the 140 page written project just a few days ago, and the board needs to have a discussion and vote on the designs before they approve them.

The board rescheduled the approval of the elementary school addition and new middle school designs for September 8th.
