Robber's Roost development agreement passed

North Myrtle Beach City Council members gave their final approval to an ordinance that amended a Development Agreement for the former Robber's Roost golf course.

The course has been vacant for more than a decade, but will soon be home to the new Coastal North Town Center.

In the agreement, North Myrtle Beach agreed that the landowner will build certain roads to be public roads at the Center, and once they're built the city will take them over and maintain them.

A grocery store, pet supply and sporting good store are just some of the businesses expected to be apart of the new town center.

Permits are expected to start being pulled in mid October.

The new Coastal North Town Center is expected to be completed in 2014.
