Rifle salute honors veterans in Myrtle Beach

Around 300 people came out to a Veterans Day tribute in Myrtle Beach Monday morning to honor those who serve and have served our country.

The Grand Strand Patriotic Alliance honor guard kicked off the ceremony with a rifle salute followed by the POW/MIA table ceremony from the Rolling Thunder.

The guest speaker, Dr. Scott Hamilton, a physician in Myrtle Beach for 25 years who works with veterans, talked about treating veteran wounds.

Towards the end of the ceremony, the Socastee Jr. ROTC laid a wreath on the memorial.
