POW/MIA memorial chair dedicated at CFHS

A brief ceremony was held at Carolina Forest High School on Wednesday to dedicate another Chair Of Honor. The memorials recognize soldiers missing in action or captured as prisoners of war.

The president of the Grand Strand Chapter of Rolling Thunder, Bill DeVaughn, led the ceremony.

He says, since WWII, there are still 3,000 soldiers listed as POW/MIA.

DeVaughn added that his group wanted to put the memorial at a school so younger generations could remember our nations heroes.

Rolling Thunder is planning on adding another Chair of Honor at War Bird Park in the Market Common.
