Possible carjacking victim found dead
Joshua Pyatt, 21, was found dead in his car Tuesday afternoon, according to Myrtle Beach police Capt. David Knipes.
Witnesses said they heard about four shots about 11:30 p.m. Sunday night on Vereen Avenue, near 21st Avenue North, and saw a man in a hood get in the car and drive away.
They found his body in the parking lot of Westwind Apartments on 17th Avenue South and Pridgen Road about 12:45 p.m. Tuesday.
Police have not determined a motive and have no suspect at this time, according to Capt. Knipes.
The car has been towed and the coroner was notified.
Pyatt's aunt says he was a good guy who was getting ready to take a job in Columbia.
