Conway police are searching for a man wanted for multiple traffic violations resulting in great bodily harm.

The pursuit started Monday night after the man took off in a white Ford Crown Victoria on Grainger Road at a high rate of speed, according to a police report.

Police pulled the car over on Temple Street, the report says. As the officer approached the car, the man took off again. Police continued to follow him through heavy traffic, when they say he was then involved in a crash on Cates Bay Highway at Augusta Drive.

When the officer arrived, he found the white Crown Victoria and a white Dodge truck with heavy damage, according to the report. Witnesses say the driver of the Crown Victoria ran from the crash, according to the report. The driver of the Dodge truck was trapped in his vehicle, police say.

Witnesses told officers the man who ran got into another vehicle that was later stopped by police, according to the report. He then left the scene again, police say. Officers are still searching for him. He's described as wearing a white t-shirt and blue shorts, according to the report.
