Police search for other victims following man's arrest for multiple sex crimes

A 22-year-old man from Leland, North Carolina, was arrested Saturday for multiple sex crimes and police are now hoping to locate other potential victims.

Jamal Hill, of Dogwood Lane in Leland, has been charged with 34 counts of statutory rape, 17 counts of incedent liberties with a child and 3 counts of first degree sexual offense, as well as other crimes. Hill is in the Brunswick County Detention Facility on a $7.10 million bond, according to a Brunswick County Sheriff's Office news release.

Hill's bond went from $2 million to $7.10 million after a court hearing Thursday.

Since his arrest Saturday, Hill has been charged with additional crimes against the original victim, as well as crimes against another victim. His bond was increased after that information was gained, according to the release.

Detectives have also learned that there were witnesses to some of the crimes. They're concerned other unknown potential victims could exist.

The Brunswick County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help finding other possible victims, as well as witnesses to the crimes.

2 counts assault with deadly weapon with intent to kill or inflicting serious injury

4 counts assault by strangulation

10 counts assault inflicting serious bodily injury

3 counts second degree kidnapping

3 counts first degree sexual offense

1 count assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill
