Police search for carjacking victim

The Myrtle Beach Police Department needs help finding a victim who was carjacked and possibly shot. The victim's family contacted WPDE NewsChannel 15 and identified the missing person as Joshua Lashawn Pyatt, 21, of Myrtle Beach. Police confirmed his identity.

He is a victim of a carjacking and may be shot and/or severely injured, according to police.

Police responded to a possible shooting on Vereen Avenue about 11:30 p.m. Sunday to find a large crowd outside a home.

Witnesses said they heard possibly four gunshots. When they looked outside, they found a man with a hood on his head getting into a navy blue 2005 Nissan Altima with yellow paint on the rear bumper, police say.

Police ask that you do not approach the vehicle or any suspects. They are considered armed and dangerous.
