Horry County police say they are searching for the parents of a one-year-old after they refused to turn their baby over to the Department of Social Services.

According to a news release from Horry County Police Major Crimes Detectives, Kaitlyn Courville, 25, of Aynor, and the toddler's father have warrants out for their arrest for Custodial Interference.

In June, the Department of Social Services received an order to take custody of a one-year-old child due to an investigation they were conducting, the release said.

When attempting to locate the child, it was determined that the parents were no longer at their listed address. DSS got in touch with the parents on the phone and they refused to turn the child over and have been hiding from the Department of Social Services since, the release said.

On Thursday, Horry County police issued warrants for both parents.

Both suspects should be accompanied by their one year old son, Zander Ammons, who is listed as a missing person at this time.

Anyone with information is asked to call 915-TIPS.

Police also sought the father of this child, but charges against him were dismissed as of June, 2015.
