Police: man threatens to shoot other man at car wash

A man at a Myrtle Beach car wash said he was going to compliment another man on his car, when the person told him to get away or he would shoot.

Police were called to the Sandlapper Car Wash on 13th Avenue South, Sunday around 1:30 p.m.

The victim said the man pulled out a small revolver from his front pocket and pointed it at the ground, according to the police report.

The victim said he then backed away and called police.

He also told officers that the man walked up to him and told him that he shouldn't "do that with children around," and the victim replied by telling the man he shouldn't pull out a gun with kids around.

The man got into his car and was last seen heading south on Kings Highway.

The victim described the car as a silver 2004 to 2006 Mustang.
