Police looking for suspects that broke into Cal Ripken Experience

UPDATE: Myrtle Beach police are looking for two men who broke into The Cal Ripken Experience overnight, according to Captain David Knipes with Myrtle Beach Police.

The business is located at 3051 Ripken Way Boulevard in Myrtle Beach.

Captain Knipes said two men were breaking into cars and a building in the area around 4:30 a.m. Thursday.

Knipes said they stole golf carts and were seen by security guards.

Once a security guard approached them, one of the men shot at the guard, according to Knipes. He said the guard returned fire.

A security vehicle was hit, but the guard was not shot.

The two men got away.

While police officers were searching for them with K9 units, they closed down roads in the area early Thursday morning.

All the roads have since reopened.
