Police looking for man who barged into apartment with a knife

UPDATE: Buehler was arrested Wednesday and is being held in the Myrtle Beach Jail without bond. He faces several charges including Attempted Murder, Burglary and drug charges.

Myrtle Beach police officers are investigating an overnight assault in an apartment on Flagg Street, according to a police report.

The victim told officers he and his girlfriend were cooking in the kitchen Tuesday night when the suspect came into their apartment. The victim said he knew the man for years.

The victim said the suspect, listed on the police report as Daniel Buehler, 52, of Myrtle Beach, was agitated and told the victim that the next person that came at him or tried to stop him, he was going to stab.

The victim told Buehler to leave, though he returned a short time later and beat on the apartment door, according to the report.

The report adds the victim said Buehler barged in with a knife in his right hand and a beer in the other and came at him with a stabbing motion. The victim said he grabbed Buehler's hand, which had the knife in it, and the victim cut his hand.

He was taken to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center to be treated for his injuries.

The victim's girlfriend also told officers that Buehler pointed the knife in her face and told her not to call police.
