Myrtle Beach police are investigating a stabbing on North Ocean Boulevard Monday night that left a man injured and his wife in police custody.
Officers were called to the Wind Surfer Motel at 210 North Ocean Boulevard just after 7:30 p.m. Monday.
Officers found a 42-year-old man lying on the ground on the sidewalk in front of the hotel lobby, according to a police report.
The report said he had an apparent stab wound to his chest and a large cut on his forearm. Witnesses told police he had been stabbed.
When officers asked about a suspect, one of the witnesses pointed to a woman covered in blood who was standing behind the victim, according to the report.
Police said the suspect is the victim's wife Catherine Boineau, 41, of Myrtle Beach.
A witness told officers both Boineau and the victim were intoxicated and arguing when the incident happened.
Boineau was taken into custody.
The victim was taken to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center for his injuries.
