Police investigating shooting in Myrtle Beach

Myrtle Beach police officers are investigating a deadly shooting that happened Wednesday morning around 8:35 by Brooklyn Louie's Barber Shop, on North Kings Highway, according to Captain Knipes with Myrtle Beach police.

When Myrtle Beach police got on scene


they found William Negron, 56, of Myrtle Beach suffering from a gunshot wound near his chest and stomach, according to Captain Knipes.

Negron was t


to Grand Strand hospital where he later died.

Captain Knipes says they believe the shooting was the result of a verbal argument that turned into a physical altercation.

This incident is still under investigation.

No charges have been filed.
