Horry County police officers are investigating two incidents that happened Monday morning that they believe are related, according to Lt. Robert Kegler with HCPD.
Officers were called to G Spot on Highway 90 in Longs around 4:30 Monday morning for a report of shots fired.
Security guards told officers they broke up a fight in the bar and had one man detained. They said a man in a Mercury fired several shots, distracting the guards while the man they had detained got away, according to the police report.
Officers responded but didn't find any shell casings or damage.
As police were leaving, they got a call about a stabbing victim that had just arrived at Seacoast Medical Center in Little River.
The 43-year-old victim from Longs and a 38-year-old woman from Longs told officers they just left G Spot. They said they were standing outside the dance floor when a fight broke out.
The victim told police a man hit him, they started fighting, then another suspect jumped into the fight and cut the victim on his back side, according to the report.
The report said the woman told police during the fight she was "struck from behind three to five times" and turned around to see the suspect standing behind her with a chair.
Horry County police are looking for Durance Antwan McCray, 24, of Longs in connection with the stabbing.
Police have obtained warrants to charge him with two counts of Assault and Battery, 2nd degree, according to Horry County police.
