Police charge 4 in jewelry store burglary

      Conway police have charged four people in connection with a burglary at Ann Booth Jewelers on 3rd Avenue in Conway.

      Sean Christian Earls, 23, of North Charleston, Wendy Ann Wells, 40, of Hanahan, Vernnon Williams, 54, of Charleston and Dennis Brian McCrea, 40, of Hanahan are charged with Burglary 2nd Degree and Possession of Burglary Tools

      A bond hearing for all four suspects is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. Wednesday morning.

      Officers were on a routine patrol of the downtown area around 3 a.m. Tuesday, when they saw a man running from the jewelry store and get into a nearby car.

      Officers say they then found broken glass on the sidewalk in front of store.

      After a short chase, they stopped the car and say they located a number of watches, a knit cap with eye holes cut in it, bolt cutters, plastic gloves and other burglary related tools.
