Police chief in the Pee Dee hands in resignation
Clio, S.C. (WPDE) —
The Clio police chief is resigning from his position this month.
Chad Cheras submitted a letter to the Town of Clio in Marlboro County on Thursday announcing his resignation from his position as police chief for personal reasons, according to Cheras.
He said his resignation is effective Feb. 24.
Cheras was sworn in as the police chief back in November and brought with him more than 23 years of experience in the U.S. Army Military Police Corps.
