Peachtree Landing is reopened after being closed Friday for Elvis investigation

Horry County police at Peachtree Landing Friday for a forensic investigation into the disappearance of Heather Elvis

Horry County police closed Peachtree Landing in the Socastee area

for several hours Friday,

while they conduct a forensic re-enactment relating to disappearance of Heather Elvis, according to Lieutenant Robert Kegler.


e are working with equipment at the boat landing to determine possible tidal flows and patterns that may assist in recovery of evidence. We do have divers present to perform grid searches and evidence recovery as appropriate,


Kegler said in an email to WPDE.

Elvis disappeared December 17th. Her car was found at Peachtree Landing two days later.

Sidney and Tammy Moorer have been charged in connection with her murder, although her body has not been found.
