Pawleys Island Chapel is home safe and sound

The Pawleys Island Chapel is home tonight, it's just a little higher off the ground.

The chapel was in need of repairs that required the physical building to be moved.

We were there as crews moved the chapel back to its original location.

Myrtle Avenue was closed for part of the day.

Repairs were made to the building's foundation and it was quite a thing to see.

"We moved it across the road, and after they got the new foundation we came back and lifted it and moved it back onto the new foundation. We're in the process of setting it down on the new foundation now," said William Strickland, owner of Mega Movers.

The chapel has been in the Pawleys Island community for 70 years.
