CONWAY, S.C. (WPDE) - The Palmetto Havoc is starting their third season of football on the Grand Strand. The adult minor league football team competes in the Gridiron Developmental Football League.
Havoc players worked out for the first time this season at the Atlantic Center Industrial Park on Saturday afternoon. The roster of 46 players includes former Gamecocks fullback Keith Hare and ex-Coastal Carolina lineman Josh Kennedy.
Havoc head coach Ronnie McCuin says the team will begin a ten game regular season schedule in June. The Havoc will play five home games at Ashley Booth Field which is located adjacent to Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium in Myrtle Beach.
Times and dates of the Havoc 2012 schedule have not been released. Coach McCuin says the Havoc is always looking for new talent.
The Havoc will also be involved in community work with The Shepard's Table, Street Reach, Special Olympics and NFL Play 60. For more on the Palmetto Havoc, check out the team website.
