One person shot in Myrtle Beach

One person has died after being shot in the 600 block of 37th Avenue North Monday afternoon.

That person's identity has not been released at this time.

Police received the call around 4:45 p.m. One person was taken into custody and will be questioned at Myrtle Beach jail, according to Capt. David Knipes with Myrtle Beach police.

They are not searching for any other suspects at this time, he said.

There was some sort of altercation between the two men which led to the gunfire, according to Knipes. Police found two rifles at the scene.
