One person dies in Horry County fire

Fire crews respond to a deadly mobile home fire on Burcale Rd in Horry County.

Horry County Fire Rescue responded to a fire at 800 Burcale Road around 11 a.m. Thursday.

The Horry County Coroner's Office says the victim is a 65-year-old white male who lived at the home. Sgt. Robert Kegler, with Horry County Police, says firefighters found the victim in the living room.

His name is not being released at this time because the coroner's office is still trying to reach his next of kin. To determine his exact cause of death an autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow morning.

Horry County Fire Rescue spokeswoman Leslie Yancey says the mobile home was 75% involved when firefighters arrived.

They're not sure where the fire started or what caused it.

Horry County firefighters received help from Myrtle Beach Fire Department.

Horry County police are investigating. Kegler says the fire appears to be suspicious.
