Two people were shot in Little River just before 4 p.m. Wednesday, according to Sgt. Robert Kegler with the Horry County Police Department.
A woman died from an apparent gunshot wound on Old Crane Road off Sandridge Road. The Horry County Coroner's Office is not releasing her name, they're waiting on confirmation her next of kin has been notified.
About the same time, someone called 911 from the Kangaroo gas station on Highway 90 and Nixons Crossroads to report a man with a gunshot wound, Sgt. Kegler said.
The man was taken to the hospital
, and was last reported to be in critical condition, according to police
The Horry County Coroner's Office says the woman who died was Kelsie Monin, 21, of Myrtle Beach. Autopsy results on her cause of death are pending.

searching for three suspects.
A SLED helicopter searched by air in the area of Highway 90 near Lincoln Heights Rd. and Highway 1008.
As of 12:15am Thursday, the active search has been called off. Officers will continue to patrol the area. If you see anything suspicious, call 9-1-1.
The suspects are described as two black males wearing dark clothing and one white male wearing blue shorts. All are between 18 and 22 years of age, and all three may
have been shirtless according to Horry County police.
