Firefighters in Georgetown responded Tuesday night to a report of a chemical incident at the 3V Chemical plant off of Pennyroyal Road.
According to Sam Hodge with Georgetown Emergency Management, four drums containing hydrochloric acid turned over, and three of them spilled some of the acid.
One person who works at the plant was injured and was taken to the hospital for treatment. His condition has not been released.
Hodge says plant response team has contained the spill to one area of the plant and have used a product to neutralize the acid.
The first responders on scene are being checked as a precaution since they were dealing with a chemical, but none of them are reporting any illness.
