One hurt in crash with Georgetown school bus

One person was hurt after running their car into a school bus.

The incident occurred at 2:45 p.m. at Choppee Road in Georgetown County, according to S.C. Highway Patrol.

Cpl. Sonny Collins, spokesperson for S.C. Highway Patrol, said the school bus made a stop and a van rear ended it.

The driver of the van was taken to Grand Strand Medical Center in Horry County, Collins said.

Ray White, public information officer for Georgetown County Schools, said none of the 36 students on the bus were hurt.
