The South Carolina Department of Transportation plans to temporarily close the road and bridge on route SC 917, also known as Sandy Bluff Highway, between Old Stage Road and Pee Dee Road North at the Horry/Marion county line.
The work will be done Sunday, June 2, through Thursday, June 6, from 11 p.m. until 5 a.m.
Other than that, the road will be open to normal traffic.
Message boards will be up to let drivers know of the closure.
Workers will be setting up cranes in the road to put the concrete girders on the remaining portion of the new bridges.
Detour routes will be set up. If traveling south on SC 917 from Mullins, detour onto Old Stage Road to US 76, SC 9, Nichols Highway and onto SC 917. If traveling north on SC 917 from Horry County, detour onto Nichols Highway to SC 9, US 76, Old Stage Road and onto SC 917.
