The Coastal Carolina Center for Military and Veteran Studies has a new name thanks to a new partnership with CresCom Bank.
Coastal Carolina University announed the name change Monday morning to reflect the relationship with the local bank.
"When you have an organization like CresCom that steps up and says we believe in what you're doing we want our name associated with you, the gift that they have given us will enable us to continue to provide services to our veterans," said David DeCenzo CCU President.
The CresCom Bank Center for Military and Veteran Studies studies and collects oral histories of American Veterans through a partnership with the Library of Congress and archives for the armed service branches. It was established in 2010.
The center also produces a cable television program called "Military Memoirs," which showcases oral history interviews with American veterans.
