Goodwill is opening two new stores in Georgetown County in 2013.
It plans to open a store at the intersection of Highway 707 and Highway 17 near Waccamaw Regional Medical Center in June.
The other store on Highmarket Street in Georgetown is expected to open in October.
Each store is expected to hire 25 to 30 people and each will include Job Link centers to help the unemployed find jobs, as well as provide other services.
"There's a lot of need in this area," Robert Smith with Goodwill Industries told NewsChannel 15. "One of the things that we're focused on is to get people gainfully employed. We're not just opening the stores, we're providing a need. The stores are a funding source for the service."
Smith estimates Goodwill helped 40,000 people in 2012.
Goodwill will hold donation drives before the stores open so they have something to sell.
Goodwill already has stores and Job Link Centers in Little River, Carolina Forest, Surfside Beach, Conway and North Myrtle Beach.
