The Orlando, Fla.-company said Friday it would build its new facility on a 60-acre site in Lexington County near online retailer Amazon.com's new facility. Nephron's new plant will be up and running within the next couple of years.
Nephron Chief Executive Lou Kennedy says the new facility will help the company expand its market share and develop a pipeline of products.
The state will put $4.5 million into site preparation and infrastructure for the facility. The company will get tax credits when it creates the jobs it promises.
