Myrtle Beach police solicit help to solve cold case

As the five year anniversary of the unsolved homicide of Jim Davis approaches, the Pantry, INC. is offering a $25,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the homicide of Jim Davis while working at the Pantry store at 2205, North Kings Highway. It happened in the early morning hours of October 23rd, 2003.

Investigators are attempting to locate a possible suspect described as a black male, 6'00, average to heavy build, short wavy dark hair, possible stubble/facial hair, white tank-top with a puffy down red vest, baggy pants. On the date of incident the suspect may have been operating a dark in color two-door hatchback. Here's a composite sketch of the suspect.

Investigators are canvassing the area Wednesday in close proximity to the incident location. One of those investigators has a special connection to the case. NewsChannel 15's Joel Allen will have more on that in a report coming up tonight at 6.
