Myrtle Beach Police respond to shooting

Myrtle Beach Police responded to a shooting near the Food Lion off Highway 501 in Myrtle Beach on Sunday night according to Lieutenant Joey Crosby.

A 30-year-old man and


51-year-old man told officers they left the grocery store and cut through the woods to go home.

The 30-year-old victim said two men "appeared out of nowhere" and robbed him, according to a police report. He told police that the men shot the 51-year-old victim as he tried to get away.

The victim said the men ran off and headed south on Cedar Street

, according to the report.

Crosby said one victim was taken to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center, but his condition has not been released.

No arrest have been made.
