Myrtle Beach police investigate drive-by shooting

Police are investigating a drive-by shooting that happened Sunday morning around midnight in the parking lot of the apartments off Carolina Cove Drive, according to a Myrtle Beach police report.

The victim told police she was outside talking with her son and her son's father when a light Blue Dodge Avenger drove around her building, and then parked. She said she then saw her ex-boyfriend and another man lean out the window of the car, point hand guns at them, and drive away firing six or seven shots.

The three ran inside their apartment and took cover as the two drove away, the report says.

Police found several casings in the parking lot. The woman says she was fighting earlier in the day with her ex-boyfriend over money, and had also received threatening text messages from them.

No one was hurt. Police are still investigating.
