Myrtle Beach International Airport gets $3.5 million FAA grant

Myrtle Beach International Airport has received a grant for $3,571,741 dollars to improve taxiway and ramp infrastructure, according to airport Marketing Director Kirk Lovell.

The money will go toward a $5.3 million project to connect the airport taxiways to the Myrtle Beach International Technology & Aerospace Park (ITAP).

The construction of new taxiways and ramps will make the airport more marketable to aerospace companies who need access to an airport, said Lovell.
