Myrtle Beach and Conway rank in the top cities to retire in South Carolina

Myrtle Beach and Conway have been chosen by members of Movoto Real Estate as two of its top 10 places to retire in South Carolina.

In their analysis, Myrtle Beach ranked first for its number of retiree amenities per capita, and Conway was praised for its many shops, bistros, and art galleries.

"The Grand Strand is the perfect place for retirees to live because of its lower taxes, excellent healthcare and 60 miles of beautiful, sandy beaches that will ensure an active lifestyle," said Brad Dean, president and CEO of the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce.
