Year-to-date the airport is also up for arriving passengers, according to the release.
From January through the end of July the airport saw 532,502 passengers arriving, or an almost seven percent increase over the same period in 2013.
"Year-to-date over 530,000 people have arrived into the Myrtle Beach International Airport," said Pat Apone, director of airports. "In July, the Department of Airports saw several carriers with double digit growth, for example United was up 31% and Allegiant was up 76% over the previous year. The volumes of passengers our partner airlines are carrying is fantastic; and we remain optimistic that the volume of people using the airport will continue to trend forward through the remainder of the 2014 season."
