MYR sees passenger increase in 2013

The number of passengers arriving into Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR) during December 2013 was up 9.72 percent over same period December 2012, while 2013 traffic was up 12.33 percent.

In December 2013, 39,189 passengers arrived into MYR.

Year-to-date the airport welcomed 833,568 arriving passengers or 12.33 percent more than 2012.

"2013 was a good year for Myrtle Beach International Airport," said Pat Apone, Interim Director of Airports. "As the result of an airline industry that is rebounding, after tough economic times, our airport benefited from increased air service offerings resulting in healthy year-over-year passenger growth."

· Delta Air Lines, +0.01%

· Spirit Airlines +23%

· Porter -0.19%

· United Airlines -9%

· US Airways +10%
