A Murrells Inlet family is offering a $5,000 reward for information that leads to the arrests of those who broke into their home.
According to an Horry County police report, the home in the Mt. Gilead community was broken into between midnight at 6 a.m. on Aug. 21 while the family was home.
The report said the victim noticed first that her keys were missing from the ignition of her car, but when she noticed an Xbox game box on the table outside, she realized that more things were taken.
She told police that a 32-inch TV, an Xbox and 15 firearms, which were in a locked room, were taken from the home.
The woman told police that the sliding glass door was left unlocked overnight.
