More than $1 billion sitting in storage at Federal Reserve

The Federal Reserve has more than a billion dollars in coins just being stored, collecting dust, according to the Washington Times.

Phillip Swarts, of the Washington Times, said this cash in storage is, "Part of the larger war between the $1 coin and the $1 bill and the government's efforts to switch over to the coin."
