More clouds, few showers Monday. Storms Tuesday

A cold front approaching the East Coast will increase the cloud cover and chance for a few showers Monday, Monday night, and Tuesday. Monday a few hit or miss showers will be possible, but more misses than hits are expected. A rumble of thunder cannot be ruled out. The chance for these showers and even a storm will be possible even overnight. It will remain warm and a bit muggy with temps maxing out in the mid to upper 70s then only dropping into the mid to upper 60s overnight.

The best chance for rain and storms will be Tuesday. There is a slight risk for severe storms Tuesday, mainly during the midday, afternoon, and evening as the cold front moves from West to East across the area. The primary threat will be damaging winds, but isolated tornadoes cannot be ruled out. You can always track the rain on First Alert Live Doppler 15000 or if you have an iPhone or Android make sure you download or app. Temperatures will be in the mid to upper 70s area wide.

The cold front will move off of the coast overnight Tuesday into Wednesday. Temps will drop rapidly on the back side of the front down into the upper 30s Inland and low 40s along the Grand Strand. Skies will remain mostly sunny Wednesday, but despite the sun temperatures will slowly reach the low 60s.

Conditions will be even colder Wednesday night into Thursday morning. Temps will fall into the mid to upper 30s Inland and around 40° along the Grand Strand.

Monday: Partly sunny to mostly cloudy, warm, and breezy. Few showers and even an isolated storm possible. Highs-Mid/Upper 70s

Tonight: Few scattered showers or even a storm, otherwise mostly cloudy and mild. Still breezy. . Lows: Low/mid 60s.

Tuesday: Rain and storms likely. Strong to severe storms possible dutring the afternoon and evening. Mostly cloudy with ths slight chance for a shower early. Highs-Mid to upper 70s.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, cooler, and breezy. Highs- Low 60s.
