A three-day celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. is planned for Myrtle Beach, starting on Saturday.
The Carolina African-American Heritage Foundation announced its freedom rally line-up.
Events start Saturday with a brown bag working luncheon at the Train Depot at 11 a.m.
Minorities are encouraged to join the conversation with the Economic Development Corporation and the five largest contractors in South Carolina.
Also at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sharnell Ladson of "helping the Underserved to Become Legendary Entrepreneurs and Leaders," or HUSTLE, will have a workshop at Mt. Olive African Methodist Episcopal Church on building sustainable small business.
On Sunday, churches and civil rights organizations will get together at Mount Olive AME Church from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. for Civil Rights Sunday.
A corporate and community awards breakfast is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Monday at the Canal Street Recreation Center.
The parade is set for 11:30 a.m., starting at the Pelican Baseball Stadium.
