A woman reported missing to Surfside Beach police has been located safe.
Allison Leigh Byerly, 44, had last been seen Saturday night into Sunday morning.
Surfside Beach police officers used cell phone, financial, and other records in an attempt to locate Byerly.
At approximately 4:45 p.m. Tuesday, investigators spoke with Byerly, who verified her personal information and stated she was not in any danger, according to a press release from Surfside Beach police.
Surfside Beach Police Chief Rodney Keziah stated in the release, "According to our investigation, Ms. Byerly has been in the Longs area of Horry County of her own free-will. No foul play is suspected, and our investigation will be concluded. Ms. Byerly is no longer considered a missing person, and has been removed from the NCIC missing person database."
