The Grand Strand Miracle League kicked off its baseball league Thursday night.
Since 2001, the Miracle League has given those with disabilities a chance to take part in organized sports. Parents like Debbie Owens says for the athletes involved, it's more than just a chance to step on the field.
"This means everything to them. (My son) gets to participate in a sport and gets to get out and socialize. He loves it," Owens told us.
The Miracle League is also set to launch its Fall soccer league on October 15th.
