Minor injuries in school bus crash

Myrtle Beach police responded to a crash at 21st Avenue North and Dunbar Street Friday afternoon.

Capt. David Knipes says a school bus and an SUV collided. He says there were no students on the bus and the driver wasn't hurt.

Knipes says some people in the SUV were taken to the hospital for minor injuries.

Capt. Knipes says the initial investigation shows the school bus turned left in front of the SUV. Police plan to charge the bus driver with failure to yield right of way.

Police say 21st Avenue North between Carver and Hemingway Streets will remain closed until around 5 p.m.
