MB police searching for suspect they say held up two Ocean Boulevard hotels

Myrtle Beach Police are searching for a man they believe held up two Ocean Boulevard hotels Saturday morning.

Sgt. Janet Hardee with Myrtle Beach Police says the first robbery happened at the Patricia Grand Resort at 2710 N. Ocean Blvd after 5:30 a.m. The second happened at the Caravelle Hotel at 6990 N. Ocean Blvd. around 7:00 a.m.

Hardee says both times, the robber walked into the hotel's office, pulled a handgun and demanded money. The managers gave the suspect whatever money they had.

Witnesses at the first robbery say the suspect wore gloves and purple hoodie. At the second robbery, he is described as wearing a hoodie and a brown jacket. Police are waiting to view hotel surveillance to release more details on a description and give pictures to the media.

Anyone with information should contact the MBPD at 843-918-1088. Hardee says he's considered armed and dangerous.
