      Man who was the subject of "The Waiting Game" passes away

      Henri Parker earlier this year on dialysis and talking with Allyson Floyd during an interview

      In February, NewsChannel 15's Allyson Floyd did a special report called "The Waiting Game." In it ,she profiled Henri Parker, who had been waiting on a kidney transplant for eight years after his first transplant failed.

      We're very saddened to report, Dr. Henri M. Parker, 31, passed away Thursday at Loris Community Hospital.

      Henri was a husband and father, a basketball coach, a youth minister, and an author. He was also working on faith-based movie entitled "Hope Still".

      Visitation will be Saturday from 4 p.m. To 8 p.m. at Leggette-Troy Funeral Home, 3805 Maple Street in Loris.

      His funeral will be Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Loris High School auditorium.

      Henri's inspirational story and life touched so many people. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
