Marion County sheriff's deputies arrested two men after an armed robbery, and then arrested the victim for having illegal drugs.

On March 18, deputies responded to an armed robbery on Longpoint Drive. They say William DeWitt, Charles Taylor and an unnamed suspect had robbed the victim, Charles Strickland III.

DeWitt had pointed a handgun at Strickland and demanded money, a press release said.

The three fled the scene in a car, and deputies were able to locate the car and arrest two of the suspects, DeWitt and Taylor.

Taylor and DeWitt were both charged with Armed Robbery.

DeWitt was also charged with Possession of Weapon During the Commission of a Violent Crime.

Deputies then arrested Strickland, the victim, and charged him with Possession of Cocaine Base and Possession of Other Controlled Substance after they say they found drugs in his possession.
