UPDATE: According to a press release sent out Thursday morning by the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office, Stalvey has been charged with one count of Burglary in the First Degree and one count of Attempted Murder since being taken into custody Wednesday night.
According to the release, around 9 p.m. Wednesday night Georgetown County Deputies were notified that Stalvey was at a house on Ray Road and wanted to turn himself in. The neighbor whose house Stalvey was at secured Stalvey's weapon and ammunition and told deputies where to find Stalvey.
Stalvey was taken to the Georgetown County Detention Center and is awaiting a bond hearing.
Earlier story version: The Georgetown County Sheriff's Office is looking for a man accused of breaking into a home and shooting someone inside.
Deputies say Francis Brian Stalvey, 48, broke into an home on Williams Hill Road around 4 pm Wednesday and started shooting at the person in the home.
That person was able to get their own handgun and return fire, according to investigators.
Stalvey left in a white in colored pickup truck, possibly a GMC Sierra, according to deputies.
Stalvey is wanted for one count of Burglary in the First Degree and one count of Attempted Murder.
The Georgetown County Sheriff's office says Stalvey should be considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.
