Judge Michael Baxley sentenced David Dixon, 23, to 40 years in prison for the murder of Christopher Bristow, 27, outside Woody's Bar in Bennettsville last December
The trial started earlier this week.
Thursday, it took the jury two hours to find Dixon guilty of Murder, Attempted Murder, and Possession of a Weapon with a Violent Crime.
Dixon shot Bristow as he walked out of the bar. He shot a second person, who survived.
Officers say Dixon fled the scene on foot after the shooting and was captured in Marlboro County following tips.
Dixon has several past convictions for various offenses including burglary and drugs.
